City & Guilds 2330 Electrotechnical Course Electrotechnical Electrician Course

This course has become the recognised route for those wishing to go into the electrical installation industry and will cover the required underpinning knowledge.

The aim of this electrical course is to provide and help develop regulation knowledge, practical skills and science required for electrical installation work.

The course will also provide an understanding of the Health & Safety requirements governing electrical installation processes, and knowledge of the organisation and structure of the electrical industry within which these activities are carried out.

This course covers the basic principles of electrical installation.

50% of the time is devoted to practical work.

You will study Technology and Electrical, Electronics and Science Principles needed to become a qualified electrician.

The course is split between Workshop practice, to develop the relevant skills to become a competent electrician and Electrical principles and installation theory to support the practical skills.

City and Guilds 2330 Level 2 Units 201 and 202

City and Guilds 2330 Level 2 Units 203 and 204

The units required are:

Unit 1 - Working effectively and safely in the electro technical environment: 2330 – 201 Multiple choice (On Line)

Unit 2 – Principles of electro technology: 2330 – 202 Multiple choice (On Line)

Unit 3 – Application of Health & Safety and Electrical principles 2330 – 203 Multiple choice (On Line) and 2330 – 204 Assignment

Occupational Unit

Unit 4 – Installation (Buildings & Structures) 2330 – 205 Multiple choice (On Line) and 2330 – 206 Assignment

Students are required to wear appropriate protective equipment during training in the electrical workshops, including safety boots. We also advise that you have a scientific calculator and On-Site Guide (IEE).

You will be assessed by practical assessments and assignments with external exams under the guidance of City & Guilds.

This is a formal trade qualification and is required in order for candidates to progress further in their electrical training/career. It can also be used for people who are looking to retrain and enter the electrical industry.

Entry Requirements: It is recommended that students have minimum grade C English and Maths or Science OR Electrical background knowledge.

Course Duration:

This is a very intensive training course and to cater for this, we have designed a schedule which will allow the individual to take time away to understand what they have learned and take time for any additional home study which may be required, using course notes supplied.

Course Schedule:

10 weeks over a 20 week period (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off etc)
Monday - Friday 08.30 – 16.30
